The Effects of the Fed's Rate Hike on the Economy
I think the real issue here is how many banks are affected and how strongly do they react. We've had other examples where there have been all sorts of market turbulence and no recession resulted. I personally think that if this thing is stabilized right here, the effects on the real economy are going to be pretty modest. The Fed actually hasn't accomplished much yet in terms of generating more slack in the labor market or actually bringing services and inflation down.
