The Cubs Signing Mike Talkman
Cody Bellinger and Mike Talkman were both good signings for the Cubs. They definitely upgraded their outfield in one season, there's no questioning that. I was just going to say the talkman, it's just, I don't understand it. We might have talked about it for two minutes in the off season.
Some early drama in the first inning got the Chicago Cubs out to a hot start after Cardinals pitcher Miles Mikolas was ejected for intentionally hitting Ian Happ. The Cubs scored three runs in the first inning and they never looked back in route to a 10-3 win in St. Louis. The Cubs have now won six straight games, including eight out of their last nine. Cody Bellinger continued his hot July adding three more hits. Mike Tauchman hit a solo shot.
