The US women's open and the women's open championship were bumped up by the LPGA. "I didn't see a great distinction between this event and watching like the volunteers of America classic in the colony," says PGA Tour player Mark Hensby. It just did nothing about it felt like different from a normal LPG week, which is not what you want from a major. But at least as an identity, I think the only thing that this does is it just emphasizes how big the U.S. Women's Open has become."
