Shifting Security Left

The shift left movement became popular at the same time devops became popular, and now dev secops. The idea of shifting security left is that if you are able to find things earlier in the selfr development life cycle, it is easier, ast or cheaper, to fix. A survey recently said that a majority of developers are releasing code that they know is insecure. It's just that they don't have the time or the skills to fix it. So when we talk about shifting, that doesn't mean abandoning the right. It means really, its doing both.
