Sherlock was a childhood dream come true for stephen moffatt. But you have to just make what you wanto. Wedid. We were aware that in the 18 month gap, it became an international talking point. So we had some fun with like, fake beginnings and stuff. It's very much about trying to work on a new show for a new audienc who would be nostalgic for their era. And you can't be totally locked into the prison of the past,. otherwise youre just doing endless pastiches of what you grow up with.
