Introduction

Sesmoid injuries of the hallex consist of a constellation of injuries to the sesmid complex, consisting of fractures, tendonitus and ligamentous injuries. Diagnosis is suspected with hallex pain that is worse with hyper extension, and can be confirmed with mri studies. Treatment depends on the specific injury to the sismid complex, crenicity and patient activity demands.
