Is There a Hard Money Constituency?
I mean it does suggest that something highly dysfunctional and weird and contradictory is going on with capitalism. But in a way it's an old contradiction which is that under capitalism full employment and the well being of the you know working class has always been hostage in some sense to returns to the capitalist. It's sort of always been true but is it not new that that finance seems to be permanently dependent upon zero interest rates? Yeah that's new. I think like the new and sort of poorly understood part of the puzzle is that there's not really any big hard money constituency right.
