The Warden Ship of the Mint
In 1695, Montague was offered the vacant warden ship of the mint in London. He wrote a letter to Newton saying it would be a great job and he'd get paid reasonable wages. But there were two different coinages circulating at that time; one is pre-1662 hand hammered while the other is more modern.
