We are allocating a growing portion of our kind of human labor capacity to these kind of carrying and social reproductive functions. And yet, simultaneously are innar crisis of social reproduction where it seems like our ability to collectively secure our survival is imperilled in ways that don't need spelling out right now. That creates a kind of generative contradiction in my thinking. We do actually depend on teachers and nurses and nursing assistants and so on, and child care workers like for our collective survival. But our ability to actually secure our collective well being through those institutions is profoundly damaged by the social context in which those institutions have to operate. The pandemic intensified that, but didn't create it. I think
