Cessationists say that God was this way at one time, but he's not that way today. They go after the most hyper charismatic, biblically unfaithful, easy targets when it comes to the gifts of the spirit. What we're doing in this series is walking through the best arguments they have to offer and their just aren't good. It's a cessationism that nullifies the word of God by causing people to be powerless. I feel like you live a life with no power over anyone else other than yourself.
