Is Medicine Psychiatry a Better Fit for You?
I did an elective at Duke, actually, to sort of have a better understanding of what it was like and ended up applying there for residency. The other thing I did was apply for women's health residencies because those were also more so that that was an internal medicine residency, but with a focus on women's health. Those residencies did tend to try to approach healthcare, medical care from both the behavioral and medical perspective. But medicine psychiatry just was a better fit.
