The Amana Revolution and the Evolution of Egyptian Religion
The Amana revolution was a very odd blip in the continuation of Egyptian theology. It didn't have any really marked change from about 3,100 BCE to 30 BCE. Achanatam only really interested in one god, and it was a very obscure god. He even changed his name so that Achan was in his name. The fact he was able to do this shows how people weren't able to revert back to old religion.
