The Importance of Transparency in the Market
I've got no complaint with transparency. Everything is actually quite high, and especially the transparency applicable to US hedge funds. I don't think anyone has an issue with blanket bans. That's when you come to the notion of blanket bans. But again, if the German government wants to ban certain forms of short selling, they are entitled to do so. Once you start, remember, what are you doing? You're banning behavior. Some want a bit of time. They would regard as abusive and dangerous behavior. But that is a valued judgment taken by them.
