Robert Mondavi had a huge effect on making American wine, particularly Napa Valley wine. He used his own winery and his own success as a platform to help the region as well. Robert's father bought one of the most iconic pre prohibition wineries that still exists today. Charles Krug was the first commercial winery in Napa Valley.
