John of Gaunt's Life
John of gaunt was a mediating presence. He had a temper, he had a very strong plantagenet temper which is what got him int so much trouble in the 13 seventies. But later on, he wanted to try and keep the peace. And i also think that em you know, we might think gaunt would have been proud that his son became king, but i think he would have been furious. I don't think that's how he wanted things to go at all.
