China Rejects Claims of Spying on Western Critical Infrastructure
Group of Chinese hackers who recently triggered a multi-nation alert have been conducting a cyber espionage campaign against military and government targets in the United States according to researchers. The group dubbed vault typhoon by Microsoft was the subject of an alert issued by cybersecurity and intelligence agencies in the U.S., Britain and their close allies. Warning said that vault typhoon was developing capabilities that could quote disrupt critical communications infrastructure between the United States and Asia regions during a future crises end quote. Group has targeted critical infrastructure organizations in the US Pacific territory of Guam according to Microsoft.
