Trump's Demographics and Disadvantages

I always thought populism just meant majority wins the vote. I don't know why that's populism but I don't quite they've framed populism as somebody telling people what they want to hear and then we vote for that person. The fact that he lies why is that different than any other politician? I feel like I'm missing something. What am I missing? Help me. Well you're you're deficit and disadvantage is the same one I have which is you're sort of living in some logic based world. But well practically I feel like we're better off three years ago is what I'm saying.
