Their ideas about the strong self became incredibly important for people like samuel taylor, coleridge, but also the american transcendentalists. So although the rain in gena was very short, you have this kind of ripple out effect from there across the world. For me, that is more important than all the other aspects of their achievements. They really changed our world irrevocably. We would be very, very different without this strong emphasis on the self. I think we are still empowered by their quite daring leap into the self. Because the self has stayed there for the better of the worse.
