The Windrush scandal began to surface in 2017. Hundreds of Commonwealth citizens have been wrongly detained, deported and denied access to healthcare and work. There were three key commitments put forward by the Wendy Williams inquiry that were dropped by Sweller Braverman. They had previously been accepted by former home secretary, Priti Patel. For five years after the government apologised, why has there been such slow progress in assisting those affected by the department's mistakes? Human rights lawyer Jacqueline McKenzie and victim Glenda Caesar join me to discuss those issues.
