The Importance of Design Thinking in a Childbirth Device

The pelvic floor muscles are very tight, so figuring out how to safely and predictably stretch that tissue was quite the difficult engineering challenge. The idea of creating an expanding dilator where you only have to insert it once and can gently stretch the tissue depending on how you feel felt like a really large opportunity. So I came in and brought all of my design thinking to be able to think about who's our audience here, right? What would make them feel safe and interested in this product?
