How to Write a Novel Is Basically the Story
Evangelicalism is about saying, do you know what? This is amazing. It's really, really good. We're not actually very good at describing the person of Jesus in his beauty and his majesty and his mercy and grace. And so I sort of think there's a great book called Wired for Story by Lisa Crohn. She says using the latest brain science to hook your reader from the beginning. The only real way to do it is to tell a story because we can't experience it and describe it at the same time.
