The next move from the committee will be to formally issue a subpoena to former President Trump if he doesn't comply. They could then pursue a legal fight to compel him to appear or the full House could vote to hold him in contempt. The Justice Department would have to decide whether or not to prosecute something that would probably be very unlikely given the fact that they have not moved forward with criminal charges for two top Trump aides, Dan Scavino and Mark Meadows.
