Toshak's Comeback as Test Cricketer
Toshak played in the extraordinary chase where Australia made 400 plus 403 on the final day. Like many players of his generation, he was robbed of six years by the war. He wasn't able to sign up for combat because he ruptured his spleen in 1938. The fact that he even came back to play international cricket and play so well for Australia is quite the comeback indeed.
