Rianand davis spoke to victoria shepherd, the author of a new book, the history of delusions. Delusions were seen as a symptom of melancholia and are found in an oxford scholar's compendium of melancholy cases. The stories go all the way back to classical civilization with people thinking that they're made of glass or butter. But delusions essentially are ase as old as there've been people.
