The track itself originally was onsage track where farmers from the plains north of us would have brought their cattle to be sold or exchanged. It's called green drove, and probably is the main marking road, because the main camp at foffant was built to the right hand side of us here. But where we're standing is more or less where the railway came across from dinton,. working its way up the hill and along the back of the village. Then across green drove to foffant central station, which was the main station where it stopped to let the soldiers get off.
