Is There a Religious Test Clause in the Federal Constitution?
Missouri governor said he only wants to hire people who share his christian values. The state constitution has a clause that prohibits discrimination on the basis of religion. But political actors generally have more leeway to say things like this, oror other kinds of restrictions they might impose on appointments. There's very little case law interpreting the religion test clause in both federal and missouri constitutions.
