Jesse was first interviewed by police four days after Amanda's death. He claimed that over the course of those four days, he never took the time to find out exactly how Amanda was killed. Not only had Jesse supposedly made no effort to seek out the details of Amanda's death, but he was also conspicuous by his absence during a large vigil in her honor.
