What Are Some of the Early Documentation Technologies?

In the 19 seventies, data was captured as part of producing micro fish catalogues. The early documentation systems in the seventies had so little memory that they couldn't take two character sets like an upper case and a lower case character set. So all the data had to go in in capital letters. And then that data that was input into these systems, that was done by handwriting on a form with a, you know, a form essentially covered in boxes,. That was then sent off to be coded. It's data that's being migrated from one system through to the next system without ever really being up dated. But there's enormous value in seeing some of that data because it was captured
