The Importance of Intuition in Predicting Risk

In the absence of this kind of a tool, the person who's getting the call is running an intuitive predictive risk model in their own head. When that piece of information was added to that screener, following those families over more than a year and looking at hospitalization records, they were able to find that it reduced injury hospitalization by a third. And the other thing that's super exciting about that result is actually find the effect is bigger for black children. So I think it's just, that's my takeaway is it speaks to the fact that we can provide technology to quickly get on top of structured history so that workers can use more of the contextual information better.
