Is Long COVID Linked to Immune Dysregulation?
Long COVID may be a special case where the immune system dysfunction is driving the pathology of the disorder. I think one unresolved question is whether there was some ongoing immune dysregulation or susceptibility in people before and then it gets picked up after COVID. None of these studies have pre pandemic snapshots of the same person's immune system. And so it's difficult to understand what's causing consequence.
