I think one of the things that really has disadvantaged America so much is that we're so fixated on getting the damn degree and then getting the approved job. I've noticed that my Asian friends don't worry about a messy resume, meaning yes, they'll take the job that looks good on the CV, but they'll also do something extra. They'll chase the extra dollar to get ahead. Across the spectrum, young people have that desire to make something happen. The risk taking appetite is there.
