The Importance of Death in the Old Testament

Paul's language about death is very different from the Old Testament. He doesn't even look at it as some kind of great foe anymore, he says. And that's all because Jesus does in fact reverse the very way we think about death. In the church today, we bring corpses into God's house. This is us saying that yes, this body is dead, but this body will be raised and this person is in the presence of the Lord.
