The Lord's Beautiful Wife
The sunlight was bright enough for Gawain to see through his eyelids the next morning. He was somehow more tired than when he had gone to bed, but at least he would be able to lounge for a few hours today, undisturbed. The Lord pitied him and told him that, as a consolation, they'd make a deal. As part of that deal, anything that Gawain finds or gets here in the castle, he would give to the Lord. It was definitely the wine, but everyone thought this was really funny and weird, so they toasted it, and agreed, and then they kept on drinking.
