The Importance of Participation in Standard Setting

Industry is always quite jealous of standard setting saying this should be an industry driven process, but that's the fact that then you have technical standard dealing with such sensitive topic change the picture there. I think it's really important to also acknowledge that fact and I think the report on fundamental rights specifically also sort of even hints in a way that some of the unease that industry is having with some of these questions,. Right? But the inclusion part isn't solved in the AI Act. It's symptomatic of a bigger piece of the puzzle that is related to how the standardization regulation, which governs how standards work here.
