The Evolution of the Left's Anti-War Concern

I suppose if you could surgically intervene to protect people from brutality and oppression, then I don't think you'd find very many people who would oppose it. But the problem is it's not so easy to surgically intervene like that. There was always a kind of far right, very skeptical of these kinds of interventions; they're much more prominent now in American politics. The left, I think, has regained some of its anti-war concern. We know that there's a need to challenge sovereignty and challenge those who are going to put their own people to death but no clear means of making the world a better place in opposing those things.
