For neurosurgeons, for all surgeons, you have to manage your time between operating and seeing patients in clinic. Depending on the specialty, you're going to be seeing patients more in potentially an outpatient setting versus an inpatient setting. You can also see patients who develop brain tumors or slowly develop deficits over time. Some of these are benign, some of these are malignant and life-threatening.
