Overcoming Visual Impairment Challenges in Fitness and IT

This chapter recounts the personal journey of an individual who lost most of their vision due to a bleed in their eyes, yet perseveres to run the London marathon with the help of a guide. The individual faces discrimination in job interviews due to their blindness, retraining to pursue a career in IT through audio and Braille learning. The chapter also explores the use of Braille technology in data science projects and the accessibility techniques adopted to excel academically despite visual impairment.
