In the 70s, sex workers were considered inhuman. Oftentimes their murders were not investigated because they were not of concern. Ken Davis: The media screwed it up by making that statement initially. There weren't really any carryout investigation. Because, again, I don't think the public was interested in what happened to a prostitute.
