The model and the tools that the church has adopted have been more of a conference style. And so you can't have this emotionally charged experience with felt needs and have it actually succeed in keeping your kids because it becomes centric on the person having the experience. But it actually doesn't deal with the core, which is calling out sin. That's one of the aims of preaching is to address sin but instead we treat it like independent persons having independent experiences.
