A Review of the Superior Perennial Renaculum

Soral nauroma is the most common complication following surgery. The superior perennial renaculu keeps the perennial tendons contained within the retro maliola groove of the fibula. Injury or tearing of the ligament will cause perennial tendon sulexation, which causes pain and a popping sensation over the lateral ankle. Treatment initially consists of conservative modalities including physical therapy. Failure of non operative treatment warrants surgical repair of the disrumpted renaculum and deepening of the groove,. if needed, walther at all.
