The Dust Bowl and the Great Depression
The dust bowl refers to a geographic area where the states of oklahoma and texas intersect. The depression didn't cause them, nor did they cause the depression. But those areas were swiftly abandoned by thousands upon thousands of people who tried to make a living farming there. Many of them made their way westward, toward california in particular. And so far weve focused on the united states, but looking wider now, we've had some questions about how the depression affected the rest of the world.
