He was more interested in flora and faunar than the thant the territory. He never took much interest in india, apart from when he didn't want riches of india to fall into the hands of the whigs. This period also saw extensive slave trading by the british empire. And then later, the abolition of the slave trade. Do we know what george's views were on the slave trade and the abolition campaign? We do because he wrote them down when he was prince of wales. But it is a blot on his ascutcheon that he did not support abolition.
