Domestication in the Americas

Eastern north america is a third independent site of domestication, and it seems to have begun with people who lived along river banks. Started collecting and replanting those weedy grasses for themselves. And this gave rise, eventually, to domesticated to gardening. And domesticated plants. So in each of these three places where domestication happened, we see eventually a big rise in population, or formation of large, settled towns and eventually cities. The process happens just the same here in the America as it did in urasia and africa.
