The department of health and human service is weighing in on how this relates to information about abortion. Because of hyppoprivacy laws, doctors cannot report a suspicion that a patient has induced an abortion unless state law compels them to do so. If a police officer comes knocking at the door, also, they cannot hand over records of abortions.
