The Nazis recruited middle-class women to moonlight as prostitutes in Salon Kitty. They were looking for intelligent women who would be able to ask questions of the clients and extract useful information for Hydra. And so they were, indeed, secret service agents as well as prostitutes. But there was a lot more to these women than the eye at the time.
