Chomsky's Signing Becomes Such a Big Deal
Chomsky: I don't think there was much ideological diversity. There were no Trump supporters, right? The first paragraph declared Trump a kind of overarching evil which made it almost impossible for any Trump supporters to sign on. And one of the reasons why Chomsky's signing became such a big deal is because there weren't very many leftists who had signed on as well. To me, this was kind of a very centrist kind of mainstream status quo defending group of people like George Packer and an Apple bomb.
