What's the Worst Event in an Arrest Situation?

There are false positives. This is also known as a type one or an alpha error in stats. 81 correctly identified the presence of a carotid pulse. That is our true positive rate. And six people thought they could feel a pulse when the pulse was absent. Now that is quite a dangerous error to make because in an arrest situation, if the patient has arrested, you think you feel a pulse, you're not going to do CPR. So this group 66 cases, there was a pulse and the rescuers could not feel the pulse. The number of correct instances out of the total study population came to only 65%. so that's not a great accuracy.
