The Response of the Japanese Government to the Terrorist Attack at the Airport
The most immediate thing, of course, is japan had an embassy in copul. There were 12 embassy officials on the ground. And there was a security assistance by the united states to insure that those people got out safely. So that's one piece. The largera japanese response was to consider whether or not to send the japanese self defense forces, the Japanese air force, into afghanistan as part of their rescue mission. That didn't happen because of the terrorist attack at the airport. They then withdrew to katar like other allies of the united states.
