The Beginning Point of a Dissertation
i was very interested in thinking about the technical and political ways in which people try to mould water, that they do so at a distance. By water not being literally there, it captured the way in which the materiality of water is determined. There's no way in which we can dissociate ourselves from water, physically or materially. And so i wanted to contribute to the conversations that were happening, an account of the physicality, materialy of water that didn't take as its starting point the water bodies that we usually think about.
