The Role of Apophania in Creativity
Schizophrenia is defined as believing something is real when it isn't. It could be said to be part of the creative process when you're imagining something that isn't real, at least not yet. So in creativity, our brain uses apophania, essentially, to forge connections where there's no one. And a lot of that is where we end up creating something unique.
